As we were putting Jessamyn to be last night, Jenny I were musing about the various things that needed to still be done around the house to affect our goals towards “Spring Cleanup.” As we were sitting in Joey and Jessamyn's bedroom, Jenny said “you know, we really should put the humidifier away.”
Jessamyn immediately retorted with: “You guys can't have a human fire. You guys are silly.”
After we stopped laughing, we were greeted with a very serious face from Jessamyn who was obviously concerned about what we were proposing.
“Well, Jess, what is a 'Human Fire'?” I asked her probingly.
“Well.... it's probably very sparkly...” was her reply. “And it's got fire.”
“What are 'humans'?” asked Jenny.
“Hrmm.... we are... you, daddy, and I..... HEY! You can't put humans on fire!”
After a bit more laughing and even more confusion on Jess's part, Jenny explained: “No, honey, not 'human fire' a 'humidifier'” she said as she pointing to the little device that sat against the wall in the kids room.
“You're going to put humans on fire in there?” was Jessamyn's reply while pointing into the now empty water reservoir of the humidifier. “They'll get wet.”
“No, goofball, we're not going to put anyone on fire. We were merely saying that we needed to put that humidifier back in the closet since we are no longer using it... no one is going to do anything with fire.” I said as I tried to assuage her concern over the mortal conflict she was convinced mommy and daddy were about to inflict upon some poor person.

There is so much life force within Jessamyn that I think she already is,spiritually, a human fire!!!
The second photo of Jess in this set is one of Jess' quizzical grimaces that I see very, very often. You caught an integral portrait of Jess' facial expressions in this one, Jay.
How sweet the simplest things that come out of the mouths of kids. They really can say the darnest things.. I love the photos. They really are growing up way to fast. Love Nana:)
