You can answer me via email, to protect your trade secrets, but how do you get the solid black background that makes these photos entirely professional??????

I can learn a LOT from you!!!!!

A LOT!!!!!!

Mimi,

I'm using a 10'x10' black backdrop that I hung on the mantle and used one 10"x24" softbox for the lighting.

That's it. Then, I just got the kids, who were already playing in the living room, to step in front of it and snap some shots.

It's all about the subjects, nothing more, taking the pictures is the easy part. Getting them to have fun and laugh while doing what they want to do is the trick.

The same holds true for all of the other ones I do with Jocie and Julie. For those, its easier to just setup several softboxes at several locations in the room and take pictures while they play and hope they're in the right light at the moment the shutter goes.

:)
