They are in fact gone forever, thanks to Jessamyn. She decided to help Jocie with her hair a few months back and she cut all of them off and tossed them in the trash. We saved a few of them for memory sake, but, alas, it appears that Jocie's hair is very very slowly growing back and we don't yet know if the curls will return.
