The worst baby ever

I often jest that Jocie is the "worst baby you could ever possibly have for a third child" and as anyone who knows me would attest, I love her beyond the ends of the earth, but, she really is a horrible child.
What could lead a father to say such things?
Well, lets just start off with her mother's pregnancy. Simple... easy... quick... sweet. Maybe Jenny has just gotten used to being pregnant or maybe having two other children to chase around keeps her life busier than previously. The birth was a wonderful experience for both of us and another emotional roller coaster. But, all in all, it was very easy and favorable.
The worst part of this child comes weeks after her birth. Jenny falls down a flight of stairs at our home cradling baby Jocie in her arms and protecting her at great personal sacrifice to herself. Jocie? Well, she's just fine. In fact, she smiles about it. Is she indestructible?
Smiles? Who does this kid think she is? She smiles at EVERYTHING!
When you wake her up in the morning, she SMILES!
When you change her diaper, she SMILES!
When you feed her, she SMILES!
When you talk to her, she SMILES!
When she poops, she SMILES!
When she hurts herself, she SMILES!
All you need do is look at her and she SMILES!
She is the happiest child we've ever had or even met.
She smiles at strangers. She smiles at loud noises.
She is the worst possible baby to have for a third because she makes you feel like you could have dozens more just like her.
Though, I must now note that since she is crawling and almost walking, she's getting into everything: opening the DVD player in our master bedroom, constantly rearranging my night side stand how she sees fit, opening cupboards, pulling clothes out of drawers and more infractions. But, she does it with a SMILE!
She is drastically different from Joey and Jessamyn with her pleasant attitude and she has most defiantly found a huge spot in my heart.
She is the worst possible baby because I could never imagine another being as wonderful as she has been nor steal as much of my heart as she's done.... you thief!
